Restaurant: Edosei
Comments: Whenever I'm with my mum, it's always difficult to decide where to eat because she's a picky eater.. but luckily we both like Japanese food a lot! After hearing only positive reviews from some of my friends, I decided to give Edosei a try. I got the green tea buckwheat noodles and I loved it! The wagyu beef was so so nice. I wish were there more of it though. It was served on a hot ceramic tile which makes the noodles a bit crispy! My mum got the conger eel which was nice but nothing special. The karaage chicken was not what I had expected; there wasn't the thick crunchy batter that I was used to. However, the breast pieces were so tender and paired really well with the citrus pepper paste. We decided to share the dessert platter which consists of their 3 desserts; home-made baked cheesecake, pannacotta and castella sponge cake. I really liked the baked cheesecake! The service was exceptional and it's always a relief when you see Japanese customers at a Japanese restaurant.
